Ayurveda & Arthritis
Very rarely, we see someone leading a healthy and happy life be it rich or poor, a young man or an old lady. What hinders them to lead a good life are chronic health problems. Who is susceptible to such a disease? Is there any specific group of people or anyone who can fall prey to them? If you are observant, you would clearly see anyone and everyone in this ambit. Now, a natural question that comes to mind is that if we all can catch such chronic disease what should we be doing to prevent us from falling into this trap? Be it diabetes or arthritis or lung or heart disease, they surely disturb our routine and a general sense of health.
Shouldn’t we be cautious and work toward our well-being?
Take Arthritis, for example, people who have used their joints and muscles for a long like Athletes, sportsmen, and dancers find their bodies depleting at a faster rate. Poor nutrition among females in India and menopause are major reasons that women get arthritis as early as they are 35 and older.
What is Arthritis?
Arthritis is a condition of swelling and tenderness of one or more of our joints. The basic symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically get worse with age. The most common types of such stiffness are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Osteoarthritis leads the cartilage(the hard, slippery tissue that covers the ends of bones to the point that forms joint breaks down. Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease that leads the body’s immune system to attack the joints, beginning with the lining of joints.
Uric acid crystals which are formed when you have too much uric acid in your blood can lead to gout. Infections or underlying diseases, such as psoriasis or lupus, can lead to other types of arthritis as well.
Treatments may vary depending on the type of arthritis. The main goals of arthritis treatments are to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. Allopathy works on only symptoms just aim to cure a single problem point. It may harm other body organs in the short and Long run. Operations for knee replacements and physiotherapy take so much from the body leaving aside time and money.
To prevent all such things, god gifted us with Mother Nature but we kept our faith in artificial chemicals whose extensive use gave us more diseases like cancer, heart or kidney failures, and so on. Indian sages worked on the beautiful science of Mother Nature and used to perform even organ replacements 2000 years ago successfully. “Jeevan shardai shatam ” which implies that everyone should be living for atleast 100 years is clearly mentioned in our Vedas because they were confident of their ancient medicinal knowledge known as Ayurveda.
The basic premise of Ayurveda lies in the whole. This holistic prevention of any disease and cure thereon are strengths given by nature. The natural rare herbs and their wise combinations are the basis of this age-old faith in this natural cure. It not only works on the desired problem but takes care of other parts of the body and organs without harming any. This absence of side effects brings Ayurveda to the forefront of keeping the well-being of mankind. Therefore, if one is finding a better way to keep healthy and to cure certain diseases without side effects Ayurveda brings an edge over allopathy.
